Katie Bly, LMSW
Katie is an LMSW in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She earned her Master of Social Work from University of Maryland Baltimore and her Bachelor of Social Work from Hope College in Michigan. Katie has experience in child welfare, school social work, as well as providing individual therapy to members of the military. She is currently a Supervisee in Social Work working towards her independent clinical license.
Katie is passionate about providing trauma-informed care to her clients. She values collaborating with clients in determining the best treatment plan and interventions to reach their goals. Katie enjoys working with clients across the lifespan. She has experience facilitating substance abuse support groups with adolescents, guided imagery groups with adults, as well as providing individual therapy to clients with a range of mental health needs. Katie has worked with clients experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, and major life transitions. The treatment modalities she utilizes include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as narrative work, mindfulness, and supportive techniques.
