Lisa Layman, LCSW
Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia. She earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and her Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She has over 20 years of experience working with children, adults and families in the mental health field in a variety of inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
Lisa has worked extensively in crisis intervention and as an urgent care clinician for Fairfax County and Kaiser Permanente. She currently works at Sibley Memorial Hospital in DC running a variety of therapeutic groups on their adult psychiatric unit and is part of a team that supervises social work interns. Her experience with children includes working in the foster care system in South Carolina and at an internship at Children’s National Medical Center in their outpatient psychiatric department.
Lisa enjoys working with children, adults and families in all aspects of mental health and life issues.
